Building a Platform Together
After the election, something powerful happened. Neighbors throughout the district — even those outside Hickory's municipal boundaries who told me they were disappointed they couldn't vote for me for mayor — kept asking: "What's next?"
The issues they raised remain. And I realized that to truly serve the people who believed in me and to reach even more neighbors who need effective representation, I need to take this fight to where these decisions are actually made.
All roads — even the crumbling ones — lead to Raleigh. In the State House, I'll be able to help even more people across District 96 and bring the kind of effective leadership and responsive representation our community deserves.
Your Voice Matters
My goal has always been to serve the public and address our community's concerns. When I ran for mayor, I learned what our community's concerns are firsthand. You shared them with me at your doorsteps, in parking lots, at community meetings, and over coffee. You told me what keeps you up at night and what would make your life better.
In the coming months, I will continue to do what allowed me to truly understand the issues facing us: I will talk to you. I'll meet with neighbors, experts, community leaders, and business owners to ensure this campaign is built around what our district actually needs — not what politicians in Raleigh think we need.
